Lecturer Introduction

I worked as a language school instructor for about six years. After that, I gained professional experience in quality control, general affairs, and human resources at a food manufacturing company.

After getting married, I moved to South Korea and decided to pursue my long-time dream of becoming a Japanese language teacher. Since then, I have been teaching Japanese online, providing personalized lessons tailored to each student’s goals. I have worked with a wide range of learners from different countries, from children to adults.

In addition to conversational Japanese, I also have experience teaching for the JLPT and the Specified Skilled Worker exam. Rather than strictly following textbooks, I focus on practical Japanese that students can actually use in real-life and professional situations, drawing on my own work experience.

For beginners and students who may find studying challenging, I value perseverance and encouragement. Based on my own experience learning through volleyball during my school years, I believe in the importance of not giving up. I will support you patiently and repeatedly until you can use Japanese naturally with confidence.

Hello, I’m AKIKO. I have been living in South Korea for 15 years. I started teaching Japanese after being asked by others to help them learn.

Through my experience as a Japanese language teacher, I have met a wide range of students—from children to working adults and even senior learners. These interactions have allowed me to rediscover the charm of Japan from new perspectives.

When I first began learning Korean, I couldn’t speak at all, and the process was very challenging. However, I still remember the kindness and support of my Korean teacher who always encouraged me.
