Lecturer Introduction

Name (in English): HITOMI

Country: South Korea

Birthplace: Saitama Prefecture, Japan

Supported languages (levels): English (intermediate), Korean (intermediate)

Qualification: 420-hour training course

After working as a cram school instructor for about six years, I gained work experience as a quality control, general affairs, and human resources manager at a food manufacturing company. After getting married, I moved to Korea and took up the job of a Japanese language teacher, which had been my dream since I was a student. After moving to Korea, I became an online Japanese language instructor and taught a wide range of learners, from children to adults, including students from various countries, with online lessons that are tailored to each individual's goals. In addition to Japanese conversation lessons, I also have experience teaching JLPT exam preparation and specific skills test preparation. Rather than teaching Japanese according to textbooks, I teach lessons that imagine situations in which students can use the grammar they have learned in their work, making the most of my own work experience. Even for beginner-level learners and children who are not good at studying, I will use the "never give up until the end" that I learned through volleyball when I was a student, and study with them until they naturally acquire the skills by teaching them over and over again.

Teacher AKIKO

Nice to meet you. My name is AKIKO and I have been living in Korea for 15 years. I started teaching Japanese because I was asked to do so. As a Japanese teacher, I have met many different people, from children who want to learn Japanese to working adults and the elderly, and through these encounters, I have rediscovered the charms of Japan that I never knew existed, even though I am Japanese.

I myself could not speak Korean at all, so it was really hard to learn, but I still remember well my Korean teacher who was always kind and supportive. I would like to try to give lessons from the students' perspective so that they can feel the joy and sense of accomplishment of being able to speak Japanese.
